COVID19 Deaths and mortality rate.
How is Kenya fairing compared to other countries?

A thread.
I compared data from other countries' COVID19 deaths based on their first 32 days with Kenyan COVID19 deaths based on our first 32 days. At the time, we had 9 deaths. 5 more people have since died.
Here are the cumulative numbers of COVID19 cases for each country on their 32nd day. The cumulative numbers of deaths are in parenthesis.

Iran 20,610 (1,435)
Brazil 4,579 (159)
Italy 1,689 (35)
Algeria 847 (58)
KENYA 208 (9)
Australia 22 (0)
USA 16 (0)
Canada 11 (0)
Australia, USA, and Canada got their first deaths on their 37th, 41st and 43rd days respectively. We got the first death on our 14th day. Below is a chart showing how we compare to Brazil, Italy and Australia.
By the look of things, we are doing better than the three countries. However, if we compare our mortality rate - or the percentage of people who get COVID who die - we have:
Algeria 6.85%
KENYA 4.33%
Brazil 3.47%
Italy 2.07%

Not so good, but better than the world average (6.9%)
Disclaimer:

1. Data from Worldometer.
2. Mistakes can be made in computation and will be corrected when realised.
3. The sample size is small because there is no mass testing.
4. Testing (in Kenya) is done to people in isolation and those seeking treatment. It is not random.
I will compare tests done per million against the number of positive cases next time.

As usual, comments and suggestions are welcome.
