Trump is mentally ill.

Yesterday the White House press corps ( @Yamiche) asked him about the numerous *televised, hourlong political rallies he held across the country* in February and March.

His response was that he hasn't left the White House in months.

Trump is mentally ill.
I'm sorry, but you can't have a president who's profoundly deranged like this during a national crisis. And if you do, the whole nation must take evasive action immediately to protect itself from his influence—by which I mean, simply, that he can no longer be covered live.

Ever.
This has to be the turning point for media.

It's time to call it. You can't cover Trump live anymore—ever. Nor should you show any video of him in which he lies—which means you basically won't show video of him.

He did rallies and went to India and said he was in DC. It's over.
We can't keep normalizing Trump's dangerous derangement by broadcasting it. We couldn't really do it before, but *certainly* can't when tens of thousands of Americans are dying and the lunatic is urging people to congregate in armed groups to unlawfully break stay-at-home orders.
At some point we must become—to steal a phrase from Shakespeare—"capable of our own distress." America *must* protect itself from collapse by not broadcasting the deranged ravings of a profoundly disturbed man who doesn't care if any American lives or dies or if America survives.
