By the time he died at the age of 35, Mozart composed over 600 pieces of music in his lifetime. He was a small man, partial to fine clothing, soft spoken. He had large, intense eyes. He was a bit of a workaholic, was well-known and spent much of his time around royalty.

Mozart would occasionally infuse a piece of music with bawdy humor. He died young. Somewhere in the world someone will play a piece of his music every day until there is no more music. It is possible that a Mozart song will be the last song ever played.

Mozart's music is on a gold record spinning in space. We will speak about him forever.

Change his age at the time of death and the Voyager Gold Record reference, and you may as well be talking about #Prince .
Four years ago, life put the sharpest period on the end of a musical career in my lifetime. There would be no more new #Prince songs; just old ones I hadn’t heard yet. No more funny stories, no more concerts, no more piercing shade.
There is enough #Prince music to get you through any 24 hour period, and that’s just the slow jams. As time passes, the loss doesn’t hurt less so much as different. There was a corner or two still left to turn for him. I am sad that I will never get to see him make those turns.
There is a segment of #Prince fandom that argues you shouldn’t celebrate his death, but his birth. Of course, Prince didn’t celebrate birthdays either, so choose your party accordingly. The man was brimming with these kinds of contradictions, down to his name.
So shut up already, and play some #Prince music today.
