I’ve purposely kept quiet about #TENET, and it’s release date. I still get a notification every time the word ‘TENET’ is used on Twitter.... so I’m observing everything.... just refusing to comment....

I would personally prefer if #TENET came out next Summer.
I want to see this film so bad... but in the right conditions... and if that means waiting a year - so be it.

Now... that could mean capped capacity... or testing and immune related issues. I also don’t want the hassle about good seats (I’m very fussy).
As someone who’s high risk, during this time.... I’d want to see #TENET at least 6 times in 15/70mm.... and that won’t happen now haha.

October makes sense... but I still don’t know, logistically, if that works. We still have #WW84

December is a pretty much no-go for me. Why? I don’t think TGM is going to move, and if TGM doesn’t move... #TENET probably won’t move to the BEGINNING of December.
Taking Dune’s date with TGM still on the schedule makes no sense.... TGM (IMAX) and #Dune would both have to move!

The summer release is where I stand with Nolan. Whether that’s taking Paramount’s M:I7 July date (as, let’s be honest.... it’s getting delayed), or the more likely option of #TheBatman’s old June one.... I much rather have #TENET as a Summer 2021 date, than a Summer 2020 date.
Look, anyone who knows me knows how excited I am for #TENET... and how it’s literally all I think about... but I want the best for the film, and for my experience watching it at the BFI in 15/70mm multiple times... and honestly? That probably won’t happen unless it’s next Summer.
If #TENET does release this July, It’ll be very disheartening.... in more ways than one! No red carpet premiere, no big publicity, and a very limited screen capacity at the BFI.
