The really key part of this dialogue about "re-opening" that a lot of white folks are missing isn't that they have the liberty to make dumb choices. It's about the poor folks, many of whom are black and brown, who won't have the freedom to make those choices.
By re-opening, these folks will lose access to unemployment and be forced to go back to work at minimum wage just so that pissy white folks can get manicures or bowl or whatever other nonsense is taking them outside of their house during a pandemic.
We're already seeing grocery store employees, the folks on the frontlines of making sure we all have food, who are being disproportionately impacted by COVID. And that's hard, because we can't shut down grocery stores (or haven't figured out a safe way around them)
But imagine being so selfish that you look at that and say "you know what? My right to get a damn haircut trumps that people will be forced by poverty and capitalism to go back to work to serve me, and I will make it about my liberty and not about their lives"
Also, not surprisingly, folks who make low wages, don't have employer sponsored health care, and are generally screwed over time and time again by society are also the most at risk for this disease because of systemic oppression that plays out in health disparities.
