I am aware that this is the current state of gaming but that doesn't mean it should be. This is a gane that was delayed so that it could be "completed". The fact that staple mechanics of the franchise are being made available with updates is WILD to me.

Ultimately it's fine and will be fine, bc a. it has to be (see Sims 4) and b. it's still a good game. A dozen updates from now we won't even remember how empty 1.0 was.

One last thought: adding events piecemeal is downright punishing to time travelers. The game has always kind of frowned upon such in universe, but in a cheeky way. Ultimately, how you want to play is up to the player and that's what's made AC so great.

(I also think adding events like this bodes ill in broader more general ways but this thread is already too long)
