It’s no surprise that she’s Republican so because she lives in a myopic, racial and economic construct holds a solipsistic belief that we [white people] have time to vote. She has NO concept of how others [non-whites] actually live — this is a feature not a flaw.
Note we are not told what she does for a living...
This person is also likely white but works in a job founded on science and education. Arlington TX is 38.5% white, 28.3% Hispanic/Latino, and 22.9% black with 11.5% immigrants for a pop of 400K, an even lower AVG income of $53K with higher graduation rates and teacher salaries.
Since this person doesn’t live in a small, homogeneous, and less educated bubble she can show empathy of others and understanding of science.

It’s a large reason why it is so easy for rich white politicians to incite suburban and rural lower income whites to behave like total assholes completely detached from reality...

These fucking dummies are at the mercy of unscrupulous oligarchs eager to fleece them for the endorphins of feeling like they are something more by divine right. They have centuries of media and dogwhistles to stir it up.
But just because they are small doesn’t mean they aren’t malignant and should go untreated because the result is a different kind of pandemic.
