NPD: Animal Crossing: New Horizons was #1 in Software/Switch was #1 in Hardware.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons in March alone has already outsold all other Animal Crossing games in the US and had the 3rd biggest launch in Nintendo history behind Smash Bros. Ultimate and Brawl.

Nintendo Switch also had the best March unit sales that any platform has ever had in the United States since NPD begun tracking. The previous record holder was March 2017, when the Nintendo Switch launched.

Animal Crossing=MAJOR SYSTEM SELLER

Forgot to note that NPD game sales are physical only for Nintendo, so if we include Animal Crossing: New Horizon's digital sales, it very well could have been the 2nd (or maybe even 1st) best selling Nintendo launch of all time. Won't know for sure until the financial report.
