Marine Two wheels down at Andrews at 11:07. VPOTUS boarded smartly with only a brief salute. Sec Azar and Marc Short are among the travelers.

AF2 wheels up imminently.
We are bound for Madison, Wisconsin, for a visit to GE Healthcare. According to a deal announced last week, GE is producing 50,000 ventilators by July 13 for $336M.

The Task Force, through Project Airbridge, has coordinated the delivery of the following supplies to Wisconsin (as of April 14):
371,000 N95 Masks
1,714,600 Surgical & Procedural Masks
49,300 Eye & Face Shields
1,398,550 Isolation & Surgical Gowns
46,975,300 Surgical & Exam Gloves

Additionally, the Strategic National Stockpile has delivered the following supplies to Wisconsin (as of April 17):
165,250 N95 Respirators
403,400 Surgical Masks
79,078 Face Shields
106,602 Surgical Gowns
14,727 Tyvek coveralls
348,050 Gloves

Army Corps of Engineers worked with the State to increase hospital capacity in Wisconsin by more than 500 beds in one COVID-19 facility.
The Corps is also assisting in the creation of an alternate care facility in West Allis (Milwaukee County) at the Wisconsin State Fair Expo Center. Project was completed in 11 days.

VP's office sends the following details from GE Healthcare visit:

At the GE Healthcare manufacturing facility, the Vice President tours the Flow Control Valve & Vent Engine, the Production Main Line, and the Anesthesia Production line
Vice President Pence participates in a roundtable with HHS Secretary Alex Azar, Mark Goyette the General Manager of LCS Operations, Theo Williams the GE Madison Plant Manager, Sheila Jourdan, Josh Castillo, and Anna Scott.

VP came back during the flight & spoke off the record for about 25 minutes.
He announced on record that he will be travelling to GM plant in Kokomo, Indiana, next week. After deplaning, VP left in motorcade
