Abandoned houses in Mirlo Beach, a once thriving oceanfront town on North Carolina's Outer Banks now slowly being reclaimed by the sea (some of these buildings have since been moved or have collapsed)

Lots of people saying how much they would love to see these houses saved and restored — some were, after relocation. The building in the first image, Serendipity Inn, was moved to another part of the Outer Banks and fully refurbished. Happy days!
