THREAD: Obciously we missed out on a traditional FAU spring camp because of the Coronavirus pandemic. I’ve gotten some questions lately about the depth chart and what I would have looked for this spring at practices and, realistically, the spring game. Let’s look.
So first off, media wasn’t going to have the same viewing times as we did last year — Lane Kiffin was unorthodox and kept it open to us as long as we followed his rules — and there was no guarantee we could watch Taggart’s scrimmages. So I wouldn’t have had all the answers anyway
Be warned, this will be a fairly long thread based on what I know AND what I was looking for. I’ll try to limit speculation. We may expand on some of this stuff on the @ShulaBowlPod soon. But I have FAU on the brain and I’m going to get breakfast before work, so let’s get going.
With that said ...

QUARTERBACK: Chris Robison is the best QB in Conference USA and one of the best in Group of 5. He’s #good. What would Taggart have done with Nick Tronti? Is he a package QB again in TrontiCat, or is he a traditional backup? And where is Javion Posey playing?
Former FAU QB Cordel Littlejohn said publicly he’s playing wide receiver now. So I would have definitely been interested on following his development there. https://twitter.com/jakeelman97/status/1242850701887377412
RUNNING BACK: FAU is stacked at RB. Health is a concern — Davidson and McCammon were really banged up down the stretch — but the Owls are good there. Like with Tronti, I wanted to see where James Charles fit into all of this. Still a versatile weapon who was clutch last year.
With all of these positions I would have been watching the first and second year guys. We saw what Kelvin Dean did late against SMU. Could he have turned increased spring carries into extra playing time? It would’ve been too early to know but I love his play style. #FAU
