Really enjoyed the Book of the **Subgenius** and **The Eye In The Pyramid by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson.** As far as the big conspiracies go, these two books have made the most palatable format for reading about them IMHO.

Also Dan Carlin’s hardcore history is an amazing amazing podcast. He goes into depths in history that nobody ever really has unless you have gone there yourself. He’s got 60 odd 3-4 hour episodes. I’ve never enjoyed listening to anything so much and it really makes you think.
By way of background, you should probably read: **Global Reach, the Power of Multinational Corporations.** It's from the 70s, but was pretty accurate in its assessment of the way things work.
