I can't see this Newcastle takeover going very well, UNLESS they work out a recruitment strategy alongside a manager and system that will get the best out of the players

Bringing a load of fancy foreign players up to the North East, sheerly motivated by money, isn't what that club needs

I think the time of Saudi billionaires with questionable ethics and backgrounds owning football clubs should be long gone

Obviously this thread wouldn't exist if it was us getting taken over, and of course initially it's a massive buzz, but longterm having an owner like that just doesn't work for Newcastle. In my opinion.

Anyway, that's my piece on it, I think that it will all end in tears. Ashley isn't the type to wait and sell to "football people" who "get the club", this was a deal motivately solely by money, which is a huge red flag for me.
