When Turkey became a republic post world war 1, it gave up any form of pan islamism to Turk Nationalism. Nationalism defined the muslim world.

Pakistan remained in an ambigous place. We got a country in name of Islam but how to take it forwards we remained confused...

We however have not embraced either concepts. Secularist nationalism neither pan Islamism. I used to think this was due to our weakness.

Now I have started to think it was by divine design.
I have no qualms in saying the way world is shaping up as per the authentic Hadis of Holy Prophet in times of 'Fitan', Pakistan will be a surprise entry. Like Al Mahdi will be changed in a night so will Pakistan IA to embrace its true destiny.
We were a country not designed for Pan Islamism in the times that weren't suitable for it nor for Secularist Nationalism that choked off our very reason for existence and union. Hence we remained the way we were. The groundwork has started. As with Islam
