I got the GameCube style third party joy-cons and they feel good. Really, really good. The default joy-con buttons feel like an awkward third party controller compared to the shape of these. See the size of my thumb? See why I like the huge A button & proper d-pad? So would you. https://twitter.com/thetallulahhh/status/1252307167568420871
Upsides:

Big buttons with a touch of reassuring GameCube clunk in them when they land

Chunky ZL / ZR buttons that travel in a bit before the clunk in that GC way

Easy to rock thumb onto X Y or B

Usb charging

Cute

Rounded lil' butts that make them feel nice in my hand, uwu
Downsides:

Shallow batteries

+ - buttons are stuff and smol

Plastic feeling bodywork with no rubberised coating

Really really REALLY strong but horribly noisy vibe motors

Can't slot them into (most) grips

Bright LEDs that even shine through the rim of the B button (lol)
Miscellaneous:

Rubbery grip on both sticks is great

No IR / NFC

Hexagonal stick gates don't act like those on GameCube; stick arcs are full

Sticks and buttons are no taller than regular joycons

It's easier to get a thumb around the c-stick' edge with its smaller hat
Even comes with a pair of the clippy bits for multiplayer, although good luck to the duo who uses this weird combo as two players
Yes they charge in the Switch
Yes they charge via their micro usb ports
Yes the stick tips are rubberised
GC-style concentric circle hat grip on left stick
Switch UI knows they're black
Wireless signals slightly more impeded by human bodies, distance etc than regular joycons
My console? Oh, you mean my Nintendo LynxCube?
in the interests of furthering accessible gaming controls and that big reassuring A button I'm just gonna do a quick @LaurakBuzz summoning ritual on this thread
