Hello, We are ATEEZ India!

This is regarding an year old muted clip from 'ATEEZ Zone! Zealous ep. 2' ft. Yeosang and Seonghwa which has been doing rounds around the internet, we need you to consider a few points before alleging anything based on the video:
#ATEEZ #에이티즈
In the original video:
Yeosang and Seonghwa are asked to show their performance skills in a game of random play dance
The song:
The bgm is a very common traditional korean song which is also commonly heard during local train locomotion in korea. It has been an initiative by the National Gugak Centre to promote traditional music to the public as a part of their lives.
The actions:
The hand joining gesture is very common in numerous asian cultures and religious practices. It was NEVER an exclusive desi thing, cultures are often derived/inspired/based off of each other hence they often have things in common
The actions they go on to interpret with the music are buddhist mudras which are also taught in schools and are a part of their traditional dance practices - as Yeosang mentions 'like what we'd hear in school'
Cultural Appropriation is never acceptable, however it is also important to label an action of the same with proper regards to the context and intentions of the person.
And as for other low context cultures who think that they will be okay with CA, we request you to not become a spokesperson or give conclusions if it does not have mention your culture.
We are in no way a spokesperson from KQ and all facts stated are our collective honest opinions and agreement to the facts as fellow Indian ATINYs only.
