Poverty continues to be higher in #London at 28% than the UK average at 21%
The cost of living in London is 15-58% higher than the rest of the UK
However the picture is mixed. 6/10 children in #TowerHamlets are living in poverty, compared to 2/10 in #Sutton 2/6


#Housing is a major driver of poverty in #London & the housing crisis is getting worse
56,000 of Londonâs households are now living in temporary accommodation
That's an increase of 30% compared to 5 years ago 3/6


In-work poverty in #London is also on the rise
Now, 74% of adults in poverty, or 1,050,000 people, are in working families
This is up from 62% a decade ago 4/6


#London also experiences huge inequalities in wealth & shared opps
Those in the bottom half of Londonâs wealth distribution hold just 6.8% of the capitalâs total wealth, whereas those in the top 10% hold 42.5%
