I’ve been sitting here thinking about photography and some things I’ve learned over the 6 months of really doing it.

If I could tell new people one thing it’s that, NOT A SINGLE PERSON cares about how sharp your IG photos are because they’ll always be sharper than an iPhone.
Even an iPhone CAN take some incredible photos. I promise you especially when it comes to sneakers, no one is zooming in on your photos going ‘The edges are a bit soft and lack sharpness’ or ‘Theres some vignetting’.
So many photographers immediately get a new camera or lens and take photos then go into Lightroom and immediately zoom in to check sharpness around the edges.

NO ONE ON SOCIAL IS DOING THAT.

No one cares. They’re there for the subject you’re shooting to see how YOU shoot it.
Which is the thing people don’t get, shooting things how you want and to your vision and idea is what’s great about photography. Personally I add vingetting to quiet a few of sneaker photos because it draws more immediate attention to the subject. I LOVE radial filters.
I don’t feel like even professional photographers get on IG and zoom in to check little minute details of your photos that really mean nothing. (IG compresses quality a ton anyways)
