What it is like to be the eldest child in your family. A thread.
Cons:

1) Being the eldest in your family puts you into a UNIQUE position where you are always expected to set the perfect example for EVERY kid in your family. (Which btw sucks)
2) You are expected to be ‘the ideal child’
Since you are the first, your parents test their parenting skills on you and expect you will turn out to be an ideal child. They are the hardest on you, and you can actually call yourself their ‘test’ child ;))
The most unfair part is that your younger siblings never witness the same drill and even if they turn adults, they are always treated as kids.
3) You have to be the responsible one, always!

4) You are role model for the younger siblings and you are expected to be their knight in shining armour. (Which also btw sucks)

5) You are never appreciated of thanked for anything. I repeat ANYTHING!!
6) You never know when they leak your secrets.

7) You always get scolded for every stupid thing the younger ones do.

8) You have to be the MOST COMPROMISING CHILD of your parent.

9) More pressure

10) Expected to be the most mature one in the family.
Pros:

THERE ARE NO PROS, IT SUCKS BEING THE ELDEST AND ONLY WE KNOW HOW MUCH WE HAVE TO GO THROUGH JUST TO SAVE THEIR ASSES. SO THE YOUNGER ONES SHOULD START APPRECIATING US!!!
