I tell this short short not for praise, but in the hope of starting a #PassAnActofKindness on.

Last week, the woman in front of me in the social distancing queue for the grocery store, was dressed completely in protective clothing. We got talking. She told me her husband had.
terminal cancer and she can’t take any risks. This was her weekly shop. When she went to pay, her card didn’t work. She became rightly upset. She asked for the shop to be put aside so she could go home and get another card. I was buying two lemons and a bottle of water. I asked
the cashier if I could pay for the woman’s bill. The woman initially refused, repeating I didn’t need to do that. I said I know. But I wanted to. I told her that many people have acted in kindness towards me in this country and I know how these acts can impact someone’s day.
Again, I tell this for zero praise. That is not why the small act was done. This happened over a week ago. But after seeing some stories of kindness on Twitter which have completely brightened my day, I wished to share and hopefully with your help, start #PassAnActofKindess.
