So the anti-lockdown brigade are claiming:
1) that the lockdown makes no difference to death rates
2) that social distancing without lockdown doesn't affect the economy
3) that the only epidemiologists who know what they are doing are the ones in Sweden
None of this is true.

It's like discussing trade with hardline Brexiters. Aarrggh.

I mean, the similarities are striking. Brexiters:
1) leaving the EU will make no difference to UK-EU trade
2) trading on WTO rules won't affect the UK economy
3) the only economist who should be taken seriously is Patrick Minford

It's the same people selling the same snake oil in different packaging.

Most anti-lockdowners seem to have stopped claiming "it's no worse than flu or a bad cold", presumably because of statistics showing that the death toll is very considerably higher than that from seasonal flu. Now, they are blaming the lockdown for the deaths.
