THREAD from a Former WDW Vacation Planner:

I had shifts where I pulled in a regular $20-45G. I worked with people that struggled to pay their rent, some lived in their cars; but every single one of them held up the 4 keys and delivered outstanding customer service. https://twitter.com/ruwansubasinghe/status/1252347950358867969
There is an expectation at The Walt Disney Company to go above and beyond for your guests. It’s a great lesson for everyone. We can all create a bit of magic for each other. In fact, it’s actually pretty easy to brighten someone’s day- it’s nearly as easy as paying your employees
However, in their greatest time of need, the company that demands employees go above and beyond, has chosen not to go above and beyond for the people they encourage in their work environment as “family.”

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement.
Disney is the LARGEST entertainment corp in the world.

There is ZERO excuse to furlough the people that put the $$ into shareholder & board members pockets.

Their message is clear: CM’s only matter if they’re making $$ for the boss & the boss sure as hell isn’t Mickey Mouse.
PS: Walt would be rolling in his grave in utter disappointment.
