Well, we (along with every brewer selling online that I’ve spoken to so far) have seen a decent rise in direct sales, which is helping us reduce an almighty cash-flow risk (we went into lockdown with £250,000 owed to us by wholesale/trade), for now. https://twitter.com/ryanlikesdipas/status/1252502891904012288
Lockdown is the easy bit (business wise). It’s gonna be post-lockdown that things get really, really tough for breweries.

I’m gonna go into this in a blog I’m currently writing. Stay tuned!
Supermarkets have (partly through decades-long, loss-leading attrition against high-street specialists like your local baker, butcher, greengrocer, etc) made themselves utterly essential businesses (and, to be fair, some are way less unethical than others).
Still, bailing out supermarkets that paid out the same in dividends (distributable profits), while SMEs with no income whatsoever or much profit to speak of in the first place struggle to get any gov support - that doesn’t sit well with me.
