Valorant is in jeopardy for tomorrow lads. I'm being stopped by -- of all things -- the anti-cheat.

Just constantly getting stuck at "Vanguard requires a reboot to initialize" -- seems like a known issue with lots of people complaining on Reddit. Working my way through the 'fixes' all of which seem jank as hell, but who knows.

The Vanguard anti-cheat service (vgc) just literally won't start, always returns "Incorrect Function" even when started manually. Think we might be SOL on this one unfortunately.

Apparently the issue only popped up reliably for people when the most recent Windows Update rolled out (Sunday morning for me) so chalk another casualty up to that cluster
