Can we please stop with the Netflix & Chill argument for isolation?

This

a) costs money

b) requires broadband internet (also costs money)

c) perpetuates the myth that unemployment is "leisure time" rather than completely devastating to the majority of non-rich people.
Seriously, the only people who think that Netflix & Chill and Uber Eats is all that is going on here... good lord... they must have a lot of cash (or more likely are supported by family).

Uber Eats, to eat healthy, costs us $80+ a pop. Where the fuck is your money coming from?
Most of us have had a sudden decline or loss of income, with kids to feed & teach, and bills to pay. To save money, we cook more & clean more, which means we have very little "chill time" at all.

Have to go to shop every 2 days due to limits.

Careful, your privilege is showing.
The only conclusion I can come to for these fucks is that they are obviously either SO loaded they don't feel the impact, or propped up by others that are absorbing it.

Fark. How out of touch can you be.
I was already homeschooling, already worked at home, work in digital and I STILL have been completely destroyed. And I don't judge those who want to get back to work purely because I know they have it far worse.

Show some empathy. Jesus Christ. Some people can't AFFORD Netflix.
I can no longer pay for cleaning, take away, subcontractors/admin help, accountant, many subscriptions/overheads. My work is on hold but my workload is 10x higher because I can't outsource anything.

Can only imagine how hard it is for a single Mum on casual wage :-(
Alright so this thread got out of hand for a bit. To clarify:

Watch Netflix. Do what you need to get through. I ain't your Mum.

But don't assume everyone else is, and try not to use it as an argument against those who want to stop the lockdown. Their concerns ARE valid. Peace!
