the bodyguard trope is so underrated. the terror of losing the person you love bc you couldn’t protect them, the slow ease into yearning touches, the Scene where someone gets hurt + the nursing back to health, only showing the depth of your feelings when the other is asleep. i’m-

i love it when they add in the “roadtrip” gimmick. having to share a room + oops there’s only one bed, the bodyguard in pure agony listening to their ward take a bath, whispering life stories and oaths over candlelight while slowly falling asleep closer and closer to each other.
