Here’s a LinkedIn hack for finding a company to sponsor your security clearance. Usually requires having IT experience in said field, but they sponsor for entry level/help desk positions a lot as well. Search “sponsor clearance” & filter to Content. Hundreds of recruiter posts
Usually must be willing to relocate to wherever they are hiring for! If you’re lucky and they’re in your area already then you’re set. I seen the most sponsorships for obviously the DMV area, all over Texas, Cali, & Washington.
As a civilian, getting a company to sponsor your for a security clearance is difficult but it’s more than possible if you navigate it the right way! I know 6 people (only 2 prior service) who’ve been sponsored this past year alone.

Also, get the CompTIA Security+ certification before applying. It’ll be required & every so often they’ll give you a 6-month waiver to obtain it, but it looks better if you’re prepared. Some companies will hire you just for having the required certs because they got spots to fill
Ex. Of entry level positions in San Antonio that was posted 2 weeks ago. Emphasis on Sec+ a must! There’s way to get sponsored to go directly overseas as well but that comes by networking & having direct contacts that can get you n touch with the recruiters. This route is quicker
