Who are all the people who are bored during the pandemic? Everyone I know is anxious and overstimulated. If anything there is too much information to process: all of our lives have been upended.
Even in the best of times filtering out what is important, relevant, and true can be exhausting.

And now there are so many added layers of uncertainty.

I’m certainly not the same person I was a few months ago. I suspect that is true for others as well.
Thinking about how life was like in January feels like reading fiction. Traveling. Staying at hotels. Eating out at restaurants. Going to concerts and sporting events. Socializing with friends. Going to work. In-person business meetings.

Was any of it even real?
The economy was not as strong as we were led to believe. Society was not as fair or forgiving as we had imagined it.

All it took was an invisible, infectious nanoparticle and a few weeks to reveal that the edifices had been hollow the whole time.
