I'm feeling philosophical about #biochemistry, so I have a ? for the TL:

If you could pick one molecule, what you consider THE "molecule of life"?

ideas from me: ATP Synthase, ATP, water?, DNA, DNApoly, the ribosome, phospholipids?

Discuss.
(and i know there is absolutely no hard and fast answer here, i just like to think a lot 'bout molecules. chemistry is fun)
id like to add one more philosophize for the TL: ATP synthase is "powered" by free energy of protons falling down a concentration gradient.... following the ETC of course brings us to O2 conversion to H2O.... so O2 also possibility...
myself I'd say protons (H+) are the "molecule" of life but they aren't a molecule lol so maybe they are the "atom" of life?
