Alright I’m Gunna say it. DONT get a FRESH off the track Ottb if you have never owned a horse before or if you don’t know what you’re doing. Buy an older restarted one because I got a horse from hell. I love him to death but anyone inexperienced could have been killed.
They’re such a great breed but I’m so tired of seeing them in kill pens when people don’t know what they’re getting into. They’re not you’re broke lesson horse they have quirks and some have anxiety and suffered abuse.
My horse couldn’t stand tied for the life of him he’d pull back until he hurt himself BAD. He was terrible for the farrier. He was great under saddle but on the ground was a nightmare. I worked so hard to get him to where he needed to me. A year later he STILL paces
When he’s tied up and recently pulled back and launched himself into the boards. They’re such great animals but please please please consider all their quirks and time you’ll have to put into them. They deserve love and 90% it’s not their fault they have these quirks.
If you want a fresh off the track please have someone who knows and has trained horses before
