A goal of terrorism is intimidation of the public and of public officials. As a local cop I would be, let’s say alarmed, I would be alarmed if I saw masked men with rifles jump out of a truck in such fashion. This is intimidation. We respond to ‘man w/ a gun’ calls. Lots. They’re never routine but they are manageable to a degree I guess. But when we get called out for ‘man with a rifle’ it’s a BAD feeling. Semi-automatic rifles in the hands of people who think they alone are real patriots...on the streets

I don’t like bullies be they cops or these bearded children with guns. My approach to my job is ‘if you didn’t have a badge & a gun, how would you handle this situation?’ And these men show up w/ rifles to protest cuz they always have to have a gun cuz a gun is all they have
