For National Library Week, I’m making some embroidery to creatively express how I’ve been feeling about the whiteness in my MLIS program and profession, anxiety of graduating in 4(!) weeks, and national response to COVID-19, specifically in libraries. Here’s the first:

This hoop was inspired by @Fobettarh ‘s article "VOCATIONAL AWE AND LIBRARIANSHIP: THE LIES WE TELL OURSELVES,” which I read like 3 weeks into my program. It was strong foundation to critically approach my courses and work experiences. A concept vital to revisit. Linked next.
