been on stan twitter for less than 24 hours and i've already been exposed to racist drama within the kpop community.
i dont like drama so i'll talk briefly but as an afro-dominican i've hust had to accept at this point that idols are going to do this. idk if it's sad that +
i've come to accept this as an inevitability, but no matter what idols are going to do something racially insensitive or do something tk get themselves cancelled.

for me, as long as it isn't something huge, i choose to turn a blind eye and quietly keep my dissapointment to +
myself, because if i cancelled every geoup that has had a member do something offensive towards me or other races, i'd barely be able to listen to any kpop at all.

thats's why i don't engage in drama, and small cancellings. because i can't afford to. it's just a shitty thing +
that poc in the kpop fandom has had to deal with. as idols who have massive foreign appeal, they or at least their companies shpuld encourage them to not say certain things and learn about different cultures, but i digress.

unless an idol does something that *really* doesn't +
sit right with me, than i would stop supporting them, but i can't afford to for minor offences, or else it would be for everyone. there are even some idols that i do listen to that have said certain things that have offended me but i choose to ignore it for the music. +
does it suck? yeah, a lot. do i wish things were different? absolutley. but this is just the sad reality.

i don't like to address this sort of thing because i want this to be a happy space, but that's basically my stance.
(also just because i am a poc, that doesn't mean my opinion reflects everyone else's. ever poc has their own thoughts and feelings on the matter. don't point to this thread saying "well this person isn't offended so you shouldn't be" because that's the crappiest take ever.)
