The most paradoxical thing to me is how many organized religions essentially say “sacrifice this life for hope of an afterlife.” Not bc I think an afterlife is fake, but bc it takes focus off of now. And not only that, but many use FEAR as a way to get people to believe?! (Cont)

What if heaven & hell aren’t physical “places” but are states of mind (which could be a place theoretically too)? Have you ever felt intense fear or pure love? They feel like hell & heaven.

If a loving God/infinite intelligence is real, what do you think they would want for us?

Personally, I think they would want us to live our lives as humans giving and receiving as much love as possible. Doesn’t a fear based narrative go against that? Now on the other hand, a loving God would also want to warn us about how to avoid “hell” too

That doesn’t mean they’re saying “these are the guidelines that you have to obey or you’re gonna suffer eternally”, but rather “these are things to avoid to avoid suffering. You have free will to choose but the consequences are yours too.”

I hope one day people understand that

If we all believed that we are love and came from love I think we could bring heaven to earth through helping one another despite our differences rather than living our lives for some abstract afterlife idea that humans can’t comprehend anyways.

Also I believe that God being everything means both female & male. Heavenly Father, Mother Earth. The Bible says to honor your Father AND Mother. It’s balance

We need both, we need to do better. And I think if we understand that it could happen.
