Trump is constantly lying abt a complete ban on travel from China.

It was NOT a total ban. There were 11 exceptions including, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Green Card holders, American citizens and their family members.

Why isn’t this mentioned at these briefings?

I’m not getting into argument over one China policy here. And I recognize Taiwan as its own country. However, Trump brags abt banning travel from “China” as if #coronavirus wasn’t already spread throughout the places I mentioned by then. It’s funny to me the trolls equate me pointing out Trump’s dishonesty with somehow me advocating banning US citizens from returning. I said no such thing. I’m pointing out Trump is the one claiming a complete shutdown when it wasn’t. He let US citizens & others back in. Not a ban

My point in bringing up those other regions was given their relationship/proximity to “China” & travel between them any alleged ban without including those places is flawed.

That’s like an outbreak originating in NYC, banning travel from there, but not NJ & CT w/borders open.

Allowing US citizens in is still not a complete ban as Trump claims. He’s acting as if US citizens exposed to COVID 19 in China didn’t carry it to the US after his “ban”
He should’ve explained coherently the policy re: US citizens & how that contributed to the spread. But no.
