I'm sorry, but I just have to go on a mini-rant real quick.

I'm 100% understanding why people want to go back to work, want things to go back to normal, and want their life back... BUT, everyone is just going to have to deal with it for now. (1/7)
Sure, you have the right to protest. But if you go out protesting, go back to work, or are out partying with friends & family, meanwhile ignoring social distancing, they yea... physicians should have the right to not see you as a patient. (2/7)
You may be thinking, "Damn JDub, that's just harsh!"

No, it's not.

You don't have the right to go out there & knowingly put yourself into situations where you are more susceptible to Covid & then expect for the already heavily burden medical professionals to see you. (3/7)
If you want to go out there and risk your life, your loved one's lives, and public around you, then you need to go right ahead and sign this form, put it in your pocket & wave your rights to medical service. (4/7)
It's just infuriating me to the highest levels that people honestly think things can go back to normal instantly.

We are going to be in this situation for at least a year. With no vaccine available yet, if we start opening things up, it will only set us back. (5/7)
With all the immunocompromised, elderly & other at risk people, this is not something we need to be joking with.

I'm scared each & every day for my parents, my extended family who fall into those groups, and of course various doctors/nurses I know dealing w/ this everyday (6/7)
Do I hope that the gov't provides more assistance to those who need it financially, yes. But we can't jump the gun thinking that the worst of this has already passed us, because it has not.
