watching rokuhoudo just reminds me how much i miss chinese sweets. like there is the savory stuff that's called dimsum for breakfasts and stuff, but dude lemme tell you about the sweet stuff that i cannot get enough of (thread)
1. 炸馒头 fried buns, god i love putting peanut butter on it
2. 驴打滚 "donky rolls" mochi and red bean roll topped with roasted soybean powder
3. 酒酿圆子 fermented rice wine rice mochi
4. 麻球 basically mochi with a redbean filling rolled in sesame seeds, best served piping hot
5. 发糕 steamed rice cakes (this shit tasty when i was young
6. 桂花糕 jasmine cake(??) can be soft and sometimes stiff form (i like to nom on these when im bored

13 绿豆汤 greenbean soup, my staple summer treat after dinner, esp good when they add 百合
14 糖葫芦 this hurt my mouth but whenever i visit beijing i always get it
15 奶黄包 custard buns, really sweet savory inside
16 牛軋糖 milk candy with peanuts in it (recently also fruit
there's probably more but i can't think of anymore atm but!!! There are a lot of variations of Chinese sweets that are regional and god i miss them all
