In fact, clear and concise guidance will not just be important, it will be imperative. We know that the 'new normal' beginning May 1, will not and must not look like the normal as we knew it prior to COVID-19...2/
Among the guidance: what about the 10k+ #MauryCounty residents who travel to #DavidsonCounty daily for work, not to mention the reverse commuters? Will they have to choose between their job and their health when one county is open, but the other is closed? ...3/
What about our friends in the big 4 cities? Will it be ok for them to come here on the weekends, patronize our businesses and utilize services here, recognizing we will be open for business, but their home cities will not?..4/
What about nursing homes and other vulnerable members of our community? Let's make sure we are taking care of them at all costs and erring on the side of caution of their 're-opening.' An open-minded, multi-phased and multi-faceted plan is a good thing. But...5/
Let's remember, we are one state that should continue with one, united response. Let's make sure we are thinking about the practicalities of this plan, lest we find ourselves right back where we started...6/
