Jonathan Taylor is a better pass-catcher than he receives credit for, pun intended:

Over his first 2 seasons, JT only recorded 16 total receptions.
Last season, coach Paul Chryst worked to implement JT into the passing game, resulting in 26 rec for 252 and 5 tds

This accounted for 10.5% of Wisconsin& #39;s receptions.

To put that into context, Swift (who had 24 rec last season) accounted for 9.4% of his team& #39;s receptions.

Now, let& #39;s see how he compares to Melvin Gordon in his time at Wisconsin.

In his 4 collegiate seasons Gordon recorded:

Gordon had the same knock coming out of college, being viewed as a "poor receiver." Yet he went on to be very successful in that facet of the game.

It was not JT& #39;s skillset that limited his receptions his first two seasons, it was Wisconsin& #39;s scheme.

However, I do not deny JT could word on his route running ability, but he is a very competent pass-catcher

Recently on Mike Greenberg, Taylor was quoted saying he plans on working on “developing routes, so that [he’s] able to run the entire route tree flawlessly”

I believe Taylor will be a true 3-down workhorse in the NFL and should be viewed that way in fantasy.

FUN FACT: he did not miss a game OR practice due to injury in all 3 seasons — he is the model of durabilityhttps://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="‼️" title="Double exclamation mark" aria-label="Emoji: Double exclamation mark">
