My temporary housing is up in mid-May. I'm getting tired of paying LA cost-of-living when I can't go outside and there's no reason I need to physically be here. Dog is going insane with no parks/trails. Do I just go hunker down in the midwest until this all blows over?
The housing market in LA hasn't adjusted yet, so it makes zero sense for me to sign a new lease. Temporary housing is obscenely expensive and not at all pet friendly. I could rent a house with a yard for half of what a studio apartment costs out here.
I had a legitimately crazy idea and I want all of you to tell me all of the reasons it's terrible and I shouldn't do it... what if I bought an RV? And then sold it when this whole thing is over? There is no possible way the financing + depreciation could be more than my LA rent
One thing I had not considered when concocting this brilliant plan is that many cities in LA county just went through and bought out RV dealerships en masse as housing for the homeless, so inventory is going to be a challenge
