My Dear Kashmiris, all of you must know that Kashmiri history for the last few centuries consisted of unspeakable misery to this day. Funerals are as common for us as weddings for the past few centuries. Today, I want to expose the MYTH, DECEIT, AND LIES OF : Kashmiri Pandits
1. First, it is imperative to acknowledge that most Kashmir Muslims were converted peacefully and that Muslims did NOT enter Kashmir nor convert her people due to violence. This is acknowledged by Prem Nath Bazaz (renowned KP politician) in his book. 
2. You must have heard of all those pseudo Kashmiris intellectuals as well as social media posts by KPs harping on about how Kashmiri Pandits have been discrimated against (âread exodusâ) during Muslim rule in Kashmir ? Not TRUE! See below. They were always favoured for loyalty !
2. Next, during Sikh rule, the Kashmiri Pandits manipulated the Sikhs to institute backbreaking taxes that drove the Kashmiri Muslims into peasantry and utter destitution. They also made beef consumption punishable by hanging, burning etc. for men, WOMEN AND CHILDREN! 
3. Once the Sikh rule ended, the dogras bought Kashmir as a reward for backstabbing the Sikhs. The pandits were once again at the helm of the valley. What followed was new lows in depravity, cruelty. Every damn torture imaginable was meted out. If only a Chinar trees could talk!
4. This as you can imagine left a bitter taste in the peasant Kashmiri Muslim mind. This is evident to this day, proverbs such as âBatte yar, berozgarâ(roughly they are not really your friend) and âBatte, Gatta Karâ (Pandit rule is dark)
4. So, considering all this youâd have imagine when the partition came, the 95% peasant Kashmiri Muslim class would look to settle scores? No, unlike them, we considered them to be our own flesh and blood. They were Kashmiris at the end of the day. Not a single one was touched !
5. During the 90s uprising against India, 200 or so KPs lost their lifeâs. Thousands of Kashmiri Muslims lost theirs. It was a disaster and a side effect of the original sin; Indian occupation. This is fundamental point Indians, Pakistanis and the wider world needs to understand.
5. In order to illicit sympathy from Hindu majority India, they embarked on an astonishing character kill of Kashmiri Muslims. One of which is we asked the women to remain behind and the men to leave. This is simply untrue, we donât misbehave with women!
6. I, along with majority of Kashmiri Muslims, donât hate our Kashmiri Pandit brethren. I mean it from the bottom of my heart. But it hurts to see them lie about us. Acknowledging pain from a real historical perspective is necessary to move forward. Not myths and outright lies.
