Okay in all seriousness, I have been receiving a lot of tweets on the comments I made regarding the funeral of the Late Kyari. After much reflection on the matter, here are my thoughts:
Fellow citizens, we are all on the same team here, we all want to see Nigeria flourish and do well

This is an emotional time for all of us & we're all learning to navigate through this covid-19 pandemic together. It is unprecedented; we haven’t seen this type of scenario before
At death, it is never easy to say goodbye to your loved ones and while I agree that social distancing policies SHOULD be adhered to, I also empathize with the human side we all have; death is not easy to navigate through for anybody.
I wrote my original tweet in haste, and didn’t believe people would take offence the way some have appeared to; it was not my intention to offend anybody - I love all my fellow Nigerians and understand this is a difficult time for all of us.
I mentioned capitalism, not to say some deserve to be celebrated more in death, but to highlight that the rules now in place during this covid-19 period are what one typically finds in communist states.
Let’s be thankful that we live in a democracy, and yes, hard workers can excel under capitalism to the heights of any society - something we should all have the opportunity to do.
All jokes aside (I sometimes don’t take overzealous tweets seriously, so I respond to them according) I appreciate this is a sensitive time for us all and I will be more conscious of that moving forward, in the way I tweet.
We shall not forget this sacrifice of the deceased to this country. May Allah send His Mercy and Peace and Tranquility to our dear Late Malam Abba Kyari.
We MUST ALL adhere to the social distancing rules - with no exceptions. Please be safe all. Glory to God.

May God Bless you all

May God Bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Thank you.
