A thread about why you should bring back Plunder Quads for some ‘old timers’.

... playing when we should have been studying for finals, setting up LAN parties and attempting to play over crap internet connections. Flash forward a few years - we’re are all living in cheap flats on low salaries, lapping up MW on expensively acquired Xbox’s and PS4’s... (2/9)

... & finally being able to play together despite our disparate locations. But as jobs, partners and ‘life’ began to get more serious, play time reduced. Consoles were not upgraded (or even purchased). COD quality ebbed & flowed. Children emerged. Gaming was off the menu (3/9)

It’s 2020. COVID-19 lockdown sets in. Furloughs, redundancies, reduced hours hit us all. Someone suggests we could give gaming another try...and like magic Warzone shows up. FREE to play - helpful. Cross platform - key. Interest levels - v.high (4/9)

Plans are hatched. Broadband connections tested. WAG’s informed. A trial run is a success. Consoles are purchased. PC’s upgraded. 100GB downloads commence. More people added to a new gaming WhatsApp group. @discord discovered for in-game chat. Spirits are high (5/9)

BR is tried, but it’s not for us. 1) Miles behind on ability 2) Limited evening play time means constant death + waiting around = limited interest 3) Dull having crap weapons from the off 4) Gulag losses just depressing 5) Too serious, not casual enough (6/9)

Then we discover Plunder Quads. Everyone LOVES it, fast paced, can all play together, can choose own load outs, varied gameplay, rapid respawn - it’s a HUGE hit. Netflix, Disney+, other evening activities shelved. Nirvana is found, nightly sessions now in effect (7/9)

AND THEN OUT OF BLOODY NOWHERE YOU TURN IT OFF.

Plunder Duos - useless. We can’t all play together, can’t even all play in the same game. Whole balance disrupted. BR Quads tried - rubbish. Group interest fades, new additions told to hold off, future gaming nights shelved (8/9)

So maybe, just maybe - turn it back on? Permanently? Like EVERYONE this thread has asked you to do? Quads, trios, duos - just have them all!
