I’ve gotten many questions about who is doing my hair, and although I don’t have to explain I feel obligated to do so because I’m someone who practices social distancing to the extent in which I can while also encouraging others to do so...
this person has already tested negative, has been in isolation for over a month & is only servicing me for the time being. it is someone I trust & is well compensated for taking the risk of servicing me during this time.
being that we both come from/are familiar with the healthcare field, safety measures are in place at all times - adequate PPE (facemask - N95+surgical mask, gown & gloves) along with constant handwashing/sanitizing.
the only risk of exposure for her would be me. which is why we are very careful. however, none of that means it’s ok or smart. both are fully aware of the risks. I wouldn’t recommend anyone being serviced by anyone during this time, let alone by someone they do not personally.
being that I work in healthcare I don’t really have the luxury of completely social distancing like everyone else. If I had the option of staying home I most certainly would. but even so, I can count on one hand how many people I have been in close contact with during this time.
I thank God every single day that he has kept me throughout this whole ordeal and I will continue to do my part as a front line worker, while also maintaining my health and limiting my risk of exposure to the best of my ability.

stay safe y’all.
moral of this thread: my health and those around me always comes first, and just because you see that people are doing things doesn’t mean you should too! worry about yourself and your health.
