Progressive Christians advocate for inclusiveness, but sometimes do so in the most snarky and even *hateful* ways. I see this so much lately. It's sad. True inclusiveness means being kind, even to your ideological opponents.
On the other hand, conservative Christians value sound doctrine, but sometimes forget that our unity in Christ is one of the doctrines we must cherish. This also seems on the rise, sadly. True doctrinal fidelity includes love, forbearance, stretching toward others in good will.
Here's an idea: what if we all increased our efforts at kindness and better listening toward those whose views annoy or concern us? Such efforts might reduce the polarization that is happening, even if they do not resolve any of the actual disagreements.
