My advice?
When this is all over, invest in the biggest stand alone freezer you can afford and have room for.
Properly frozen food lasts forever.
Immediately after meals, label and freeze leftovers for quick single servings, and take advantage of sales when you can...
...Remember, you can freeze just about anything.
In the case of foods that might stick together or crumble, lay them on a parchment lined tray and quick freeze them individually first, then wrap them separately and place them all in a larger labeled bag...
...If a large pizza is on sale, but you know a medium is too much, get the large and freeze the leftover slices.
Pizza reheats well in a cast iron pan or griddle.
Instead of buying frozen breakfast biscuits, freeze your own and nuke them as needed...
...They travel well on your commute, and you'll know what's in it.
Put the date on your labels, especially if you eat BBC the same thing a lot, like pizza.
Just remember too that some foods like ham can get saltier for some reason.
But in general, I haven't found it to be a...
...problem.
Fresh vegetables can be frozen, too, and I rarely bother to blanch them.
Cake, cookies, candy, all freeze well.
Surprisingly, rice and rice dishes freeze okay, too.
Enjoy!
