Particularly: how to organize particular notes. I prefer hand written for a variety of reasons, though an index can be in a word file.
I came across this limit when writing my MA Thesis.

I came across this limit when writing my MA Thesis.
Simply taking notes on a notepad, helpful as it may be, doesn& #39;t really help when trying to find stuff later on.
My idea for organizing notes is the following, though I fear it is a bit too labour intensive:
1) Write note/quote/comment on a note card. Include card #ing...

1) Write note/quote/comment on a note card. Include card #ing...
and book title.
2) Put keywords at the bottom of the notecard
3) note keywords and their corresponding card number in a Word Index.
This is the best way I can think of doing it, but it seems...labour intensive. Your thoughts on this would be appreciated.
