Every time I see a post about killing pedophiles, I always think of St Moses the Black, who refused to judge the sins of a fellow monk because he saw his own were so great.

If pedophiles automatically must die, then we must kill all sinners.
I honestly find it deeply upsetting. Abusing children is horrifying but to suddenly no longer treat death like an enemy but with zeal is also horrifying.

It's also completely ignorant of the most basic psychology and understanding of pedophilia.
I am NOT accusing pedophilia and we should take it incredibly seriously. But I don't think that justifies throeing out the baby with the bath water.
There's active communities of people who struggle with pedophilic desires and yet have never acted on them, like any other wise. But they're often on the brink of suicide due to the inability to share their struggle even with spouses and best friends. This stuff pushes em over.
I happened upon their forums as i was studying gender, adictions, and philias. The stories will tear you to shreds.

I just can't see a love of judgement and a rejection of mercy as anyrhing Godly... It is a truly evil act, but since when are the rest of us "good?"
