In D&D, some things are created/altered by magic but then endure without it. Your wound closes thanks to a spell, but thereafter the wound stays closed on its own and can’t be dispelled. Most of the constructs in D&D were given life by magic, but their continued existence isn’t fueled by magic, unless their stat block says otherwise.

Sometimes magic in D&D is the fuel. But other times it is just the spark. #DnD
