Here we are a day later with more files being published! This time the focus is on Super ZZT! Super ZZT is ZZT's neglected sibling where various decisions prevented it from ever attaining anywhere near the popularity of the original.
Which frankly means a lot of these newly published worlds aren't exactly high quality. Most Super ZZT worlds are weird experiments of low quality. Nobody really stuck with it long enough to hone their craft. So instead we get unlicensed super hero games: https://museumofzzt.com/new
"The Adventures of Batman & Robin"
"Spider Man"
"The Attack" has a cool tree but those giant boards of scattered enemies play even worse in Super ZZT than the original
Some fantasy games include "AX Quest 1" and "Magic Warrior!"
One of the more well known Super ZZT worlds is "Funland", and a small collection of the author's other SZZT worlds was uncovered. This waterfall board is a very clever way to pull off a crude sidescroller style of play!
The last world is "Super ZZT Color Mania", a sort of Super Tool Kit for Super ZZT full of BRD files to import and some demonstrations of new Super ZZT features
All of these come along with proper preservations of Super ZZT itself! The original version available on the Museum was the 1997 re-release which provided the registered worlds for free. We also have a v2.0 shareware release now
The binaries are identical, and the only difference between registered and unregistered is if a "REGISTER.DOC" file exists. The 97' release actual omits this file and thus still claims to be the shareware version unless you create the file yourself.
And if you do, "Ordering Info" is removed and replaced with "World Menu" as the shareware edition only expects you to have one world to play.
We're currently on the hunt for paid-for registered versions of ZZT and Super ZZT as opposed to the 1997 rereleases that gave out the registered worlds. This "REGISTER.DOC" file is completely MIA.
